Store Manager

Job Summary:

The Store Manager (SM) has total store (four-wall) accountability and is responsible for the day-to-day and long-term operations and financial success of the business with an emphasis on delivering consistently positive results. The SM is responsible for leading, planning, and directing a team of store associates and is accountable for all functional areas of the store, including driving sales, overall store financial performance, and execution of company initiatives, staffing, inventory control, and compliance with company standards. The SM is accountable for setting the standards and expectations for all aspects of the store. The SM will often delegate tasks or operational activities to others and will supervise, inspect, train, and/or coach associates to accomplish all store sales and operational goals and customer service standards. The Store Manager will partner with ownership to drive results and positive outcomes on a daily, monthly and annual basis.

Position Qualifications: Education:

  • High School graduate, GED or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Related Experience, Qualifications and/or Certifications:

  • Five to eight years of related sales/retail/customer service experience; minimum of three years of direct managerial experience (developing, leading teams and/or managing associates)
  • Experience recruiting, assessing, selecting and developing associates, preferably in a retail environment
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (Required)

Computer Skills / Special Equipment Knowledge:

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • RFMS experience a plus
  • Outstanding telephone skills
  • Experience with payroll scheduling system desired
  • Point of Sale (POS) experience preferred
  • Ability to drive/operate a forklift required (forklift certification required prior to operating equipment)
  • Ability to continually lift 60 pounds from floor to waist height and occasionally lift 75 pounds from floor to shoulder height

General Work Schedule:

  • In general, a Store Manager’s work week consists of 5 days which will include Monday - Friday, and some Saturdays within the same work week. Store Managers routinely work up to fifty (50), and sometimes more, hours per week based on business, staffing and customer needs.
  • Store Managers are expected to be regularly involved in store opening and closing as well as working some Saturdays, evenings and holidays as required by staffing and business needs. Some travel may be required.
  • Periodically, Store Managers may find it necessary to arrange their schedule to fill store staffing gaps due to associate absences, scheduled Paid Time-Off, special/promotional events or other business demands.

Work Environment:

Store Managers generally work in a retail sales and warehouse environment that involves the use of office equipment, such as computers and telephones, machinery/mechanical equipment, ladders and heavy equipment (forklift). Some exposure to moderate noise, outdoor elements (heat and cold) and airborne particles.

Warehouse Worker

Job Summary:

Floor to Ceiling is searching for extraordinary warehouse workers to assist in our Interior Design Showroom. Schedule is arranged Monday through Friday with weekends off.

Starting wage is $12.00-$13.15 per hour DOE with advancement opportunities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Receive, count and stock merchandise
  • Verify inventory, examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects
  • Coordinate all merchandise
  • Pull and physically cut all flooring products and prepare for transfer
  • Unload inbound deliveries and either store in designated aisle
  • Work with customers to print, pull and load all will call orders throughout the day
  • Run all necessary reports
  • Check off lifts for daily use and safety
  • Printing inventory tag and logging location
  • Notification of materials that come back from job site, (job specific or stock items.)
  • Attach RA # provided by coordinator to job specific materials being returned
  • Take garbage out every day
  • Clean warehouse floors every day
  • Back up for driver
  • All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • General labor experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills needed
  • Ability to identify problems and offer solutions
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis
  • Work in heights up to 40 feet
  • Follow all warehouse safety rules and guidelines
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (Required)
  • Must pass a thorough drug test and criminal/employment background check
  • Ability to drive/operate a forklift required (forklift certification required prior to operating equipment)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Warehouse Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
